MacTask is a native macOS application that helps you manage your Google Tasks. It connects directly to Google's Tasks API using your Google account.
None. MacTask does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to Foundry Labs or any third party. We have no servers, no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry.
Your task data is stored in two places: locally on your Mac (in a SwiftData database for offline access and performance) and on Google's servers (via the Google Tasks API). MacTask reads and writes your data through Google's API using the OAuth token you grant during sign-in. That token is stored in your Mac's Keychain.
MacTask requests the following Google API scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks. This grants read and write access to your Google Tasks data. MacTask does not request access to your email, calendar, contacts, or any other Google service.
MacTask's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
MacTask communicates only with Google's APIs. No data is sent to any other service, server, or third party. We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or ad networks.
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Foundry Labs does not process or store any payment information.
MacTask is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
